Sound familiar?
Not sure if you are MTD-ready?
Making Tax Digital is being rolled out in phases and working out whether it applies to your VAT, income tax, or both is not always straightforward. Many business owners are still using spreadsheets or outdated records, unaware that quarterly digital submissions may already be required. The guidance from HMRC is not always plain English, and the penalties for getting it wrong are real.
- Unsure whether MTD applies to your business or which phase you are in
- Still keeping records in spreadsheets that are not MTD-compatible
- Missing or late quarterly submissions without realising the deadline has passed
MTD handled, without the confusion
The right software, the right setup, and someone who checks the deadlines so you do not have to. Your MTD obligations become visible and manageable rather than something sitting in the background.
- A clear explanation of exactly which MTD requirements apply to you and when
- Cloud software configured and maintained — MTD-compatible records from day one
- Quarterly submissions filed on time every period — nothing missed, nothing late
- Fixed monthly fee — no surprise charges when submission windows open

Why business owners choose us for MTD
There are plenty of accountants who will file a return. Fewer who will make sure your records are compliant before the deadline is on top of you.
MTD explained without the jargon
Making Tax Digital guidance from HMRC is not always written for business owners. What you get here is a plain-English explanation of what applies to you, when it applies, and exactly what you need to do — nothing more, nothing less. You will not leave a conversation more confused than when you started.
Cloud software included and configured
Xero, QuickBooks Online, FreeAgent, and Dext are all supported and certified. Rather than pointing you at a software website and leaving you to it, the setup is handled as part of the service. Your digital records are MTD-compatible from the first day, not after a period of catching up.
Deadlines tracked so you do not have to
Quarterly MTD submission windows are monitored as a matter of course. You are notified before each deadline, not after it has passed. For business owners juggling everything else, this is the part of the arrangement that tends to matter most.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most clients are MTD-compliant within a couple of weeks of getting in touch. The process is designed to require as little of your time as possible.
Get in touch
Call, email, or use the contact form and you will hear back the same day. The initial conversation is free and without pressure. You can ask questions and get a clear picture before deciding anything.
We assess your current position
A quick review of your existing records and software tells us what needs to happen and in what order. If your books need tidying before MTD setup begins, that is identified upfront — no hidden catch-up costs later.
Software is set up and records migrated
Your chosen cloud accounting software is configured to meet HMRC’s digital record-keeping requirements. If you are moving from spreadsheets, the migration is handled for you. You approve what goes in before anything is submitted.
Submissions handled from here
Each quarterly update is prepared and filed on your behalf. You are told what is being submitted and when. Your MTD compliance runs in the background while you focus on the business — which is, frankly, the way it should be.
“I had the pleasure of working with Hasan for our business’s financial needs, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. They provided exceptional service, demonstrating a deep understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations. Hasan is always prompt in responding to my inquiries and made complex financial concepts easy to understand. Their attention to detail and commitment to accuracy gave me great confidence in my financial decisions. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant”
Common questions about Making Tax Digital
Does MTD for Income Tax apply to me, and when does it come in?
MTD for VAT has been mandatory for most VAT-registered businesses since 2022. MTD for Income Tax Self Assessment (MTD for ITSA) is being introduced from April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income above the relevant threshold. Whether and when it applies to you depends on your income level and business structure — something worth confirming now rather than closer to the deadline.
What does MTD support cost and what is included?
MTD compliance is included as part of a fixed monthly fee that covers your digital record-keeping setup, quarterly submissions, and year-round monitoring of your compliance position. There is no separate charge each time a submission is due. Exact pricing depends on your business type and whether additional services such as bookkeeping or self assessment are included — a quote is provided upfront with no obligation.
My books are a mess. Can you still help me get MTD-compliant?
Yes — and it is a common starting point. Before any MTD setup begins, your existing records are reviewed so catch-up work is identified and quoted upfront. There are no surprises partway through. Most clients with disorganised records are fully compliant within a few weeks of getting in touch.
Is there a long-term contract or minimum commitment?
No long-term contract. If after three months the arrangement is not working for you, you leave with compliant digital records and nothing outstanding. Monthly fees are fixed and agreed in advance — you know exactly what you are paying and what you get for it.
Can I keep using spreadsheets or do I need to switch to dedicated software?
HMRC requires digital record-keeping under MTD, and while HMRC-compatible spreadsheet bridging software does exist, most business owners find purpose-built cloud accounting software considerably more straightforward. Xero, QuickBooks Online, and FreeAgent are all supported and configured as part of the service. The software setup is handled for you — you do not need to work out which product to buy or how to connect it to HMRC.
Will MTD mean I submit more information to HMRC or pay tax more often?
Under MTD for ITSA, quarterly updates are summaries of your income and expenses — not tax payments. Tax is still settled through your annual self assessment. The practical effect is that your records are kept more current throughout the year, which tends to reduce the end-of-year scramble rather than add to it. With quarterly figures visible throughout the year, your likely tax bill is also easier to estimate in advance.
