We assess what you need

We will look at your current payroll setup, employee numbers, whether CIS applies, and your pension scheme. From there you get a fixed monthly fee — no ambiguity about what is included.

We take over the payroll

Existing payroll history is transferred and we set up as your payroll agent with HMRC. If your records are in some disarray, we sort that out before the first live run. You provide the pay data each period; we handle everything else.

Payroll runs itself, reliably

Each pay period, payslips go out, RTI is filed, and your PAYE account stays current. You are not chasing deadlines or wondering whether the pension contribution went in correctly. That is, on the whole, a considerably more comfortable position to be in.

Do you handle CIS payroll as well as standard PAYE?+

Yes. If your business operates under the Construction Industry Scheme, subcontractor verification, monthly CIS returns, and deduction statements are managed alongside your regular payroll. The two run together rather than as separate engagements. We also deal with the mixed scenarios — some employees on PAYE, some subcontractors on CIS — which is common in trades and construction.

What does a managed payroll service cost?+

Pricing is a fixed monthly fee based on the number of employees and whether CIS is involved. You will know the exact figure before signing anything. There are no per-payslip charges or surprise fees when you take on a new starter — that is already accounted for in how we price it. Get in touch and we will send a quote the same day.

Our current payroll records are a bit of a mess. Is that a problem?+

It is not unusual. Most businesses that come to us are in some state of catch-up — whether that is mismatched PAYE figures, pension contributions not correctly recorded, or a payroll that has not been reconciled in months. We work through what exists before running the first live payroll, so nothing is carried forward incorrectly. There may be a modest one-off catch-up cost depending on the state of the records, which we will confirm upfront.

Is there a minimum contract or lock-in period?+

No. There is no minimum term. If it is not working after a few months, you give notice and we hand back your payroll records, employee data, and PAYE history in good order. You will not be left with nothing to show for the time. That said, most clients find the arrangement straightforward and stay.

What do I need to provide each pay period?+

Typically just the hours worked or confirmation of salary, plus details of any new starters, leavers, or changes in the pay period. We send a simple prompt before each run so nothing gets missed. The more routine the payroll, the less you need to provide each month.

Can you help us understand what we are actually paying in employer costs?+

Yes. Employer National Insurance, pension contributions, and holiday pay can add up to considerably more than the headline salary figure. We can provide a clear breakdown of total employment cost per employee, which is useful when you are considering a new hire or working out whether a pay rise is affordable right now.
