Sound familiar?
Income from five platforms, one Self Assessment deadline.
Influencer income does not arrive in a single neat payslip. YouTube settlements, Instagram brand deal invoices, TikTok creator fund payments, affiliate networks, merchandise sales — each arrives differently, and some of it you may not realise is taxable at all. Gifted products and PR packages count as income in many cases. Most influencers either over-pay through missed expenses or under-report without knowing it.
- No clear record of which brand deals have been invoiced and which are outstanding
- Unsure whether gifted products, free hotel stays, and PR hauls count as taxable income
- January Self Assessment deadline arriving with no idea what the bill will be
What sorted looks like
Your income streams are tracked cleanly, your expenses are claimed properly, and your tax position is visible throughout the year — not just in January. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.
- All income sources reconciled and recorded — no last-minute scramble before filing
- Gifted income, contra deals, and PR packages treated correctly so nothing is missed or wrongly reported
- Tax bill estimated and communicated well in advance — no surprise figure in January
- Fixed monthly fee — you know exactly what the accountant costs, every month

Everything an influencer’s accounts need
From your first brand deal invoice to year-end filing, the work is handled — with plain-English explanations along the way so you always know where you stand.
Self Assessment and Tax Filing
Your annual Self Assessment return is prepared and filed on time, with every income stream accounted for correctly. Your tax liability is calculated and communicated well before the January deadline, so you can plan for it rather than scramble for it.
Included as standardExpenses and Income Tracking
Camera equipment, editing software, broadband, home office costs, travel to shoots — the expenses available to content creators are more extensive than most realise. Monthly bookkeeping keeps your records current so nothing claimable is left on the table at year-end.
Included as standardStructure and Tax Planning
As your income grows, the question of whether to remain sole trader or move to a limited company becomes worth examining. This is reviewed proactively — not left until your accountant notices the numbers at year-end.
Proactive advisoryConsistently five stars across the board

Why influencers choose us over a generic accountant
Content creation income is genuinely different from a straightforward salary or a single freelance contract. The accountant needs to understand that before they can be useful.
No explaining your income streams
Brand deals, affiliate links, AdSense, TikTok creator fund, sponsored posts, merchandise — you will not spend the first meeting explaining how you actually get paid. These are understood from the outset. That saves time and means the advice is relevant from day one.
Tax bill known months early
Proactive support throughout the year means your estimated liability is visible well before January. There is no last-minute figure that catches you off-guard. If your income has jumped significantly, that conversation happens in September — not on the 30th of January.
Questions answered the day you ask
Same-day replies to contact form enquiries, quick response by phone and email, and WhatsApp available for client queries. When a brand asks for a VAT invoice and you are not sure whether you need one, you get a clear answer that day — not at the end of the month.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
The process is designed to take as little of your time as possible. Most clients are fully onboarded within a week of first contact.
Get in touch, no charge
Call 0161 706 1523, email info@edwardharris.co.uk, or use the contact form. We reply the same day. Initial conversations are free and without pressure — no obligation to proceed.
Free initial conversation
We talk through your income sources, current situation, and what you need. You get clear answers to your questions and a plain-English explanation of what working together would involve and cost.
We handle the transition
If you are switching from another accountant, we contact them directly and request your records. If you are starting fresh, we set up cloud bookkeeping on Xero, QuickBooks, or FreeAgent — whichever suits how you work.
Your accounts, handled
From here, the compliance is managed, your tax position is monitored throughout the year, and you hear from us proactively when something needs your attention. Considerably less to think about.
“Excellent service! Hasan took over and sorted out my accounts with a swift and hassle free service. I would highly recommend for your accounting needs.”
Things influencers usually want to know
Do you understand how influencer income actually works — brand deals, gifted products, affiliate commissions, AdSense?
Yes. These income streams are handled regularly. Brand deal invoices, affiliate network payments, YouTube and TikTok creator fund settlements, and gifted goods that constitute taxable income under HMRC rules — none of these require a lengthy explanation before getting a useful answer. The accounting treatment for contra deals and non-cash benefits is also something we handle, not something we look up after the call.
What does it cost and what is included?
Pricing is fixed monthly, based on the scope of work — so no surprise invoices when you ask a question mid-year. A free initial conversation will give you a clear figure before you commit to anything. Cloud bookkeeping software is included with advisory services, so you are not paying separately for Xero or QuickBooks on top.
My records are a bit of a mess — does that matter?
Not especially. Most new clients arrive with books in some state of disarray. A catch-up exercise gets everything current, and the cost of that is discussed upfront so there are no surprises. Once the backlog is cleared, monthly bookkeeping keeps things orderly going forward.
Am I locked in to a long-term contract?
No. There is no long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with clean books and nothing owed. The intention is that the service is good enough that leaving does not come up — but the choice is always yours.
I am currently a sole trader — should I set up a limited company as my income grows?
This depends on your income level, how you want to draw money from the business, and your personal circumstances. It is not automatically the right move just because income is increasing. We review this proactively with clients and give a clear recommendation when the numbers make it worth considering — rather than leaving you to guess when the time is right.
How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is?
With monthly bookkeeping and regular contact, your estimated Self Assessment liability is visible throughout the year — not just when filing opens in April. If your income has changed significantly compared to the previous year, that conversation happens in good time for you to set money aside or adjust your plans. Surprises are largely avoidable when the books are current.
Less time on tax, more on content.
Fixed monthly fee, ACCA-qualified, same-day replies. Initial conversations are free and without pressure — you will leave knowing exactly what happens next.
