Sound familiar?
Not sure if you have set it up correctly.
Forming a limited company takes about ten minutes on Companies House. What takes considerably longer to undo is the wrong share structure, a director loan you did not know you had, or a pay arrangement that costs more tax than necessary. Most people only discover these things when they are already a problem.
- Company registered but no idea whether the structure actually suits your plans
- Paying yourself from the company without knowing the tax implications
- No clear picture of when your first accounts, CT600, or confirmation statement are due
What starting right looks like
Formation handled alongside the important questions — structure, pay, and compliance obligations — so nothing is left to figure out later. You know where you stand from day one.
- Share structure and company setup matched to your actual plans from the outset
- Director salary and dividend strategy agreed before your first payslip
- All filing deadlines mapped out so nothing arrives as a surprise
- Fixed monthly fee with no hidden extras as your business grows

What makes the difference for new companies
Three things that matter most when you are starting out and cannot afford to get the foundations wrong.
Structure set up correctly first
The share structure and director arrangement you choose at formation affect how you pay yourself, how you exit, and how tax-efficient the company is from day one. This conversation happens before the company is formed, not years later when it is expensive to change.
No deadline catches you off guard
New company directors often do not know their first accounting period end, when Corporation Tax is due, or when the confirmation statement needs filing. Every obligation is tracked and you are contacted in advance, not chased afterwards.
Questions answered the day you ask
New business owners have more questions than established ones, and that is entirely expected. Hasan is known for same-day responses by phone, email, and WhatsApp — so you are not left waiting when something comes up that you are not sure about.
Up and running in four steps
The process is straightforward. Most new clients go from first contact to a formed company with a clear plan in under a week.
Get in touch
Call 0161 706 1523, email info@edwardharris.co.uk, or use the contact form. Replies arrive the same day. There is nothing to prepare beforehand — just tell us where you are in the process.
Free initial conversation
A conversation about your plans, your industry, and how you want to structure the company. No obligation and no charge. You will leave with a clear picture of what is involved and what it costs.
Formation and setup
Once you are happy to proceed, the company is formed and the essentials are put in place — registered address, share structure, payroll setup if needed, and VAT registration monitored. You are kept informed at each stage without being buried in correspondence.
Running with confidence
Your company is formed correctly, your pay strategy is in place, and your compliance calendar is mapped out. From here, you focus on the business. We handle the detail, flag anything that needs your attention, and make sure nothing arrives as a surprise.
“I cannot rate this company highly enough. I started off with an incredible expensive company who I could never reach or get good advice from – then THANKFULLY found Hasan who has been our accountant ever since. He always responds to messages and calls so quickly, has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is absolutely trustworthy.”
What people ask before forming a company
Can you advise on the right company structure before we form it?
Yes — this is usually the most important part of the conversation. Share classes, director arrangements, and whether a limited company is the right vehicle at all depends on your plans, your personal tax position, and how you intend to draw income. The formation itself takes minutes; the structure conversation is worth taking seriously before filing anything.
What does company formation and ongoing accounting cost?
Pricing is fixed and agreed in advance so there are no surprises at year end. The formation fee covers Companies House registration and the setup conversation. Ongoing monthly accounting is priced based on your turnover, complexity, and the services required. A free quote is available with no obligation.
I have already formed the company myself but I am not sure I did it right — can you help?
Fairly common situation. We review the existing setup, check share structure and SIC codes, and identify anything that needs correcting while it is still straightforward to do so. If the books need tidying or there are filings you were not aware of, that is handled as part of onboarding.
Is there a long-term contract or minimum commitment?
No long-term contract. If it is not working after the first few months, you leave with clean, up-to-date records and nothing owed beyond the period covered. Most clients stay because the service is useful, not because they are tied in.
Do I need to register for VAT when I form my company?
Not immediately in most cases — VAT registration is only mandatory once your taxable turnover crosses the current threshold. However, voluntary registration can be beneficial depending on your customers and costs. Your threshold is monitored from the outset so you will not cross it without knowing what to do next.
How do I pay myself tax-efficiently as a director?
The standard approach for most director-shareholders is a low salary combined with dividends, which reduces National Insurance liability. The optimal figures depend on your personal allowance, any other income, and the company’s profitability. This is agreed before you take your first payment, not corrected at year end.
Form your company the right way.
A free, no-pressure conversation to cover your structure, your obligations, and what it costs. Most people leave with a clear plan and considerably less to worry about.
