Sound familiar?
Year-end creeping up and the books still not ready?
It is a common situation for Manchester owner-managed businesses. The year ticks by, records pile up in various states of order, and suddenly the filing deadline is closer than it should be. The accounts get rushed, the tax bill arrives as a surprise, and the whole thing leaves you feeling like you are perpetually catching up rather than getting ahead.
- Records scattered across spreadsheets, bank feeds, and a drawer of receipts
- Corporation tax bill unknown until the accountant sends the invoice
- Accounts filed at the last minute with little understanding of what they show
What a properly handled year-end looks like
Year-end does not have to be a scramble. With records kept in order throughout the year and a clear process at year-end, the accounts are prepared accurately, filed on time, and you know exactly what your tax position is before HMRC sends a reminder.
- Records organised and reconciled throughout the year, not all at once in January
- Corporation tax calculated and communicated well before the payment deadline
- Accounts reviewed with you so the figures make sense before they are filed
- Fixed monthly fee covers year-end preparation, filing, and CT600 submission

What the year-end accounts service covers
A complete year-end service for limited companies and sole traders in Manchester — from preparing the accounts through to filing and explaining the numbers.
Year-End Accounts Preparation
Your statutory accounts are prepared from your bookkeeping records, bank statements, and any supporting documents you provide. Everything is reconciled, checked, and put into the correct format for Companies House. You will see a draft before anything is filed.
Included as standardCorporation Tax and CT600 Filing
Your corporation tax return is prepared and filed with HMRC alongside the accounts. Your tax liability is calculated and communicated clearly so the payment deadline does not catch you off guard. Tax planning opportunities are flagged before the year closes, not after.
Included as standardPlain-English Review of Your Figures
Once the accounts are ready, we walk you through what the numbers show — profit, director salary and dividend position, and what to expect next year. Most clients find this the most useful part. Numbers on a page are considerably more useful when you understand what they mean.

Why Manchester businesses choose us for year-end accounts
Most accountants file your accounts. We make sure you understand them, plan around them, and are not surprised by the bill.
Your tax bill before the deadline
Corporation tax is calculated as part of the year-end process, not as an afterthought once accounts are filed. You know what is owed and when, with enough time to plan for the payment. Surprises are largely avoidable when the work is done properly in advance.
Proactive support throughout the year
Year-end should not be the only time you hear from your accountant. We monitor your position throughout the year, flag issues before they become problems, and keep your records in order so year-end is a process rather than a panic. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.
Plain English, not accounting jargon
Every set of accounts comes with a plain-English walkthrough — what the figures mean for your business, your tax position, and your decisions going forward. You will not receive a PDF and be left to work out what it means. Questions get answered the day you ask them.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
From first contact to filed accounts, the process is designed to require as little of your time as possible.
Get in touch
Call, email, or use the contact form. We reply the same day. Initial conversations are free and without pressure. You will leave the call knowing exactly what happens next.
Free initial conversation
We discuss where you are with your records, what the accounts need to cover, and what a fixed fee looks like for your situation. No obligation. If your books are in some state of disarray, that is fine — it is a common starting point.
We prepare the accounts
You share your records — bookkeeping files, bank statements, or whatever you have — and we handle the rest. We request any missing information with a simple checklist. You do not need to know what format anything should be in.
Filed, explained, done
Your accounts are reviewed with you before filing, so you understand the figures. Then they are filed with Companies House and HMRC. Your tax bill is confirmed, your filing obligations are met, and next year starts with a clean slate.
“I had the pleasure of working with Hasan for our business’s financial needs, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. They provided exceptional service, demonstrating a deep understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations. Hasan is always prompt in responding to my inquiries and made complex financial concepts easy to understand. Their attention to detail and commitment to accuracy gave me great confidence in my financial decisions. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant”
Things people usually ask about year-end accounts
What does year-end accounts preparation actually include — is the CT600 and Companies House filing covered?
Yes. The service includes preparation of your statutory accounts, the corporation tax computation, the CT600 filed with HMRC, and the accounts filed at Companies House. There is no separate charge for the CT600 or the filing — it is all part of the same engagement. We also review the accounts with you before anything is submitted.
What does it cost, and how is the fee structured?
Fees are fixed and agreed in advance, so there are no surprises when the accounts are done. The exact figure depends on the size and complexity of your business, which is why we discuss it on the free initial call rather than publish a one-size price. Most owner-managed limited companies in Manchester will know their fee before committing to anything.
My books are not in great shape — can you still take over the accounts?
Yes, and it is a common starting point. We can work with records in various states of order, from well-maintained cloud bookkeeping to a folder of bank statements and a spreadsheet. Where a catch-up is needed, we will be clear about what that involves and whether there is an additional cost before starting work.
Is there a long-term contract if I sign up?
No. There is no lock-in. If you decide it is not the right fit, you are free to leave and your accounts, files, and any data we hold are returned to you promptly. We would rather earn your continued business by being useful than hold you to a contract.
What are the filing deadlines for limited company year-end accounts?
For a limited company, accounts must be filed at Companies House within nine months of your accounting year-end, and the corporation tax return must be filed with HMRC within twelve months. The tax itself is due nine months and one day after your year-end. We track these deadlines for you and flag them in advance so nothing is missed.
Can anything be done at year-end to reduce the corporation tax bill?
Some planning can still be done at year-end — pension contributions, timing of certain expenses, and director salary and dividend structuring are the most common. More can usually be done if we are involved before the year closes rather than after, which is why proactive year-round contact tends to be more useful than a one-off engagement.
