Sound familiar?
Busy, growing — but not sure what you’re keeping.
Turnover looks healthy on paper. But after wages, supplier costs, overheads, and tax, it is not always clear what the business actually earns. Most owner-managers in Manchester know roughly what comes in. Fewer know which parts of the business drive profit and which do not. That gap tends to get expensive.
- ✕ Revenue growing but profit margins stubbornly flat or shrinking
- ✕ No clear picture of which jobs, products, or clients make money
- ✕ Year-end accounts arrive too late to change anything that matters
What knowing your numbers looks like

- ✓ Margin analysis that shows exactly where profit comes from
- ✓ Clear reporting on which services, products, or clients carry their weight
- ✓ Monthly management figures delivered proactively, not after the fact
- ✓ Fixed monthly fee — no surprise bills when you ask a question

Three things included in your analysis
Profitability analysis is not a one-off report. It is a rolling view of what your business earns, delivered in a format you can read and act on.
Margin and Profit Breakdown
Your gross and net margins are calculated and explained in plain English each month. You will see exactly which areas of the business contribute to profit and which consume more than they generate. Pricing decisions become considerably less speculative when the numbers are in front of you.
Included as standardMonthly Management Accounts
Management accounts delivered regularly — not once a year after the fact. Each month you receive a clear picture of revenue, costs, and profit so you can spot trends early. If something is moving in the wrong direction, you will know before it becomes a problem.
Proactive and regularTax Visibility and Forward Planning
Knowing your profit in real time means your corporation tax liability is visible throughout the year, not a figure that lands unexpectedly in January. We flag your estimated tax position quarterly so there are no surprises and cash can be set aside with enough notice to matter.
No year-end surprisesConsistently rated 5.0 across all reviews
Sole traders, limited companies, and growing SMEs across Greater Manchester — each with different numbers, each now clearer on what they mean.
Sorted Accounts With Swift, Hassle-Free Service
“Excellent service! Hasan took over and sorted out my accounts with a swift and hassle free service. I would highly recommend for your accounting needs.”
Helpful Knowledge for New Business Owners

Trustworthy, Fast Responses Every Time
“He always responds to messages and calls so quickly, has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is absolutely trustworthy. He’s kind, response, easy to deal with, and really a great member to make up your team. 10/10 recommend.”
Why Manchester businesses choose us for profitability work
There is no shortage of accountants in Greater Manchester. These are the things that tend to make the difference.
Numbers explained, not just filed
Most compliance-focused accountants file your accounts and move on. We sit down and explain what the figures actually mean for your business — which margins are healthy, which are not, and what to do about either. You leave each conversation knowing more than when you arrived.
Proactive all year, not once a year
Profitability does not wait until your year-end. We review your figures throughout the year and flag anything that warrants attention before it becomes a problem. Unexpected tax bills and year-end scrambles are largely avoidable when the books are current and someone is watching them.
A fixed fee, no hourly surprises
Profitability questions should not come with a cost-per-question anxiety. Everything is covered under a fixed monthly fee agreed upfront. You can ask what you need to ask without checking the clock — which is, frankly, how it should work.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most clients are set up and receiving their first management figures within a few weeks. The process is designed to be simple from your side.

Free initial conversation
We talk through your business, your current visibility over the numbers, and what you actually want to know each month. No jargon, no sales pitch. You will leave the call knowing exactly what happens next.
We set up and get current
We take over your bookkeeping, connect cloud accounting software, and get your figures up to date. If there is a backlog, we handle catch-up without drama. You do not need to sort things out before we start.
Monthly clarity, every month
Each month your management accounts land with a plain-English summary of what the numbers mean. Margins visible, tax position known, no guesswork at year-end. You focus on the business — the financial picture is handled.

Things people ask before getting started
What does profitability analysis actually involve — is it just my year-end accounts?
Year-end accounts tell you what happened. Profitability analysis is about understanding why it happened and what to do about it going forward. We look at your margins by product, service, or customer type, identify where costs are outpacing revenue, and produce a regular plain-English summary you can use to make decisions. It is a working tool, not an annual filing exercise.
How much does this cost and what is included?
Pricing is fixed monthly and agreed upfront before anything starts — no hourly rates, no surprise invoices when you ask a question. The fee covers bookkeeping, management accounts, profitability reporting, and tax visibility throughout the year. We will quote based on the size and complexity of your business during the initial conversation.
My books are behind — do I need to get them sorted before coming to you?
No. Most clients arrive with books that need attention. We handle catch-up as part of onboarding and will be upfront about any additional cost if the backlog is significant. It is a common starting point and not something that delays getting your monthly reporting in place.
Is there a long-term contract I am committing to?
No long-term contract. If things are not working after a few months, you leave with clean, up-to-date books and nothing owed beyond the period covered. We would rather earn the relationship month by month than hold you to a commitment.
Can you work with the accounting software I already use?
We are certified in Xero, QuickBooks Online, FreeAgent, and Dext. If you are already using one of these, we can connect directly to your existing data. If you are not yet on cloud software, we will set you up on whichever platform suits your business best — included as part of the service.
How far ahead will I know what my corporation tax bill is likely to be?
With monthly management accounts and regular profitability reporting, your estimated tax position is visible throughout the year — not a figure that arrives as a shock after your year-end. We flag it quarterly so you can set cash aside with enough notice to plan around it properly.
